Microneedling with PRP
Microneedling with PRP in Bal Harbour - The Vampire Facial, Done Right
Microneedling with PRP - often referred to as the "vampire facial" - is one of the most-requested skin-quality treatments at our clinic. It combines precision microneedling with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) sourced from a simple in-office blood draw, supporting the skin's natural collagen and elastin response using your body's own growth factors.
At SkinLift Aesthetics, we serve Bal Harbour, Aventura, and the wider South Florida community from our Hollywood, FL clinic — approximately 20 minutes north of Bal Harbour Village via US-1 or Collins Avenue.

What Is Microneedling with PRP?
Microneedling with PRP combines two complementary approaches in a single session. First, a precision microneedling device creates controlled micro-channels in the skin. Then, platelet-rich plasma - concentrated from your own blood through a brief in-office spin - is applied topically and worked into those channels. The platelets release growth factors that support the skin's natural repair process. Many clients know this treatment as the "vampire facial." The clinical term is microneedling with PRP (sometimes PRP microneedling or PRP facial).

What Happens During Your Session?
1
Blood draw.
A small vial of blood is drawn (similar to a routine lab draw) and spun in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets.
2
Topical numbing.
Medical-grade topical anesthetic is applied for 30–45 minutes.
3
Microneedling pass.
The microneedling device is used across the treatment areas, with needle depth customized to your skin and goals.
4
PRP application.
The concentrated PRP is applied to the freshly needled skin, supporting absorption through the micro-channels.
5
Post-treatment calm.
Soothing serums and mineral SPF are applied. You leave with a written aftercare protocol.
Typical Protocol and What to Expect
A typical protocol consists of 3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart, customized based on your skin's response and treatment goals. Some clients notice early radiance within the first 2 weeks; more meaningful improvements in texture, tone, and firmness generally build across the 3–6 months following the final session as new collagen and elastin develop in the deeper skin.
Recovery experience varies by individual. Most clients experience some redness and a tight feeling for the first 24–48 hours. Use mineral SPF and gentle skincare only for the first several days. Daily broad-spectrum SPF 50+ is essential throughout - in South Florida, that's a year-round requirement regardless of treatment.
